  3. If logs show resets/timeouts: update BIOS and SSD firmware, and prove stability with a known-good disk.
  4. Once fixed, make it repeatable: standardize media and track firmware versions like you track software.

Progress bars are not telemetry. Your logs are. Debug with evidence, and 0% stops being a mystery and becomes just another resolved ticket.
